What is it?
Interventional radiology involves a range of minimally invasive procedures using images produced by ultrasound, CT and a variety of other imaging modalities to direct interventional instruments into various regions of concern throughout the body.
Medical practitioners/Specialists will usually request this examination to provide patients with effective pain relief or to obtain definitive biopsy diagnosis after an initial ultrasound/CT examination of the area of concern.
